Mary Strain

Mary Strain leads artificial intelligence and machine learning for education at AWS. Mary began her career as a middle school teacher in The Bronx, NY. Since that time, she has had leadership roles in education and government technology organizations. Mary has advised K-12, higher education institutions, state and local government on innovative policies and practices in competency-based assessment, curriculum design, micro credentials and workforce development initiatives. As an advisor to technology firms, Higher Education Institutions and state agencies, she has been on the leading edge of bringing innovative technology to education for two decades.
