Maryia Krivoruchko leads UnboundEd’s Innovation team and portfolio, focusing on launching and scaling products that will increase UnboundEd’s overall impact. These products represent a mix of focus areas, all focused on serving high-priority student populations (e.g., English Learners and multilingual learners) and related policy areas (e.g., improving information availability and accessibility regarding the quality of instructional materials in California). Maryia previously served in a similar role with Pivot Learning, prior to its merger with UnboundEd. Maryia started her career as a Teach for America Corps Member and special education teacher in the Bay Area. Later, Maryia was a lead elementary teacher in South Los Angeles, piloting a blended learning program and leading her school’s transition to the California Common Core State Standards. Immediately prior to Pivot, Maryia championed talent initiatives in teacher selection, retention, and equitable hiring practices at Green Dot Public Schools. She also served as a BTSA / induction coach for Spanish teachers pursuing their CA Clear Single Subject credential. She joined Pivot as a Program Manager in 2021, leading projects focusing on improving instructional materials in California through district adoption best practices and state-wide advocacy.
