Matt Gee leads the data strategy team in the foundation’s U.S. Program, which focuses on data demand, access, governance, and use to support decision-makers across the education-to-workforce continuum. He also helps develop strategic options for using artificial intelligence (AI) within the program and across foundation teams, including the development of an ethical use framework. Matt has a rich history of leadership in data and AI for public benefit. He co-founded Data Science for Social Good and has worked extensively with government agencies and nongovernmental organizations to apply data-driven solutions to societal challenges. His work has been funded by major organizations including the National Science Foundation, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, and JPMorganChase.
