May Prince is the Executive Director of Student Advisement at ASU Preparatory Academy, where she has spent over 15 years in education, including a decade of experience as a Mandarin instructor in both online and brick-and-mortar settings. May is dedicated to fostering student success and, at ASU Prep, spearheaded the creation of the Learning Success Coach team to ensure students receive the advocacy and personalized support they need to thrive. With a diverse background in retail and mental health counseling, May has developed strong skills in relationship-building and empathetic communication. Her collaborative leadership approach is grounded in solutions-focused strategies that keep students at the center of decision-making. Passionate about advising and educational equity, she drives the development of strategic initiatives at ASU Preparatory Academy aimed at improving educational outcomes and promoting post-secondary growth. May holds a B.A. in East Asian Languages and Literatures from the University of Florida and a Master’s in Counseling from Covenant Seminary. She resides in Washington, DC, with her husband and toddler.
