Meredith Olson

Meredith Olson is president and CEO of VELA Education Fund, which invests in everyday entrepreneurs developing non-traditional education solutions. She is committed to the belief that every child has a unique gift, learning happens everywhere, and human-centered, community-based solutions will unlock the future of education. Meredith also provides strategic guidance for the Foundational Education initiative at Stand Together, working to ensure an individualized education for every person. Meredith’s experience includes leadership of corporate philanthropy and community programs for Koch companies. She is from Richmond, Virginia, and earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. Meredith is chair of yes. every kid., an organization committed to transforming education policy. She is president of the Koch Family Foundation and the Koch Companies Community Fund. She also serves on the board of WSUTech, where she recently completed a term as board chair.
