Mike Felton is the Executive Director of the GRACE Innovation Center at St. George Municipal School Unit (MSU). St. George MSU is a rural district of 300 students serving a traditional Maine fishing community. Mike was the St. George Superintendent from its founding in 2015 to 2025. While superintendent, he focused on developing community and business partnerships to enhance teaching and learning and expanding access to Career & Technical Education (CTE) for all students. Partnering with the regional technical high school in 2022, St. George began developing the nation’s first PreK-12 Career & Technical Education program. Mike helped lead a four-year campaign that raised $4.6 million to construct and equip the new GRACE Innovation Center, which opened in August 2025 and houses CTE programs for both students and adults. In July 2025, Mike left the superintendency to lead the center. St. George’s work to provide all students, PreK-12, with access to CTE has been featured in the Wall Street Journal and on Fox Business News. The district was a 2023 Yass Prize Finalist and is a Top 10 Finalist this year for the idea category of the ASU+GSV Education Innovation Showcase. Mike also serves as the Executive Director of the St. George Community Development Corporation, a nonprofit that works across age groups and sectors to foster a thriving and livable community for all residents. Mike lives in St. George with his wife Keely, and their children, Anya and Isaiah.
