Michael Latsko

A native of the East Coast, Michael Latsko joined ASU in January 2023 to lead the Office of Human Resources. Michael came to ASU from the University of Virginia (UVA), where he has spent a decade in various human resources leadership positions and was instrumental in the Workday HR and Payroll implementation there. Before UVA he worked in the private sector (online software development and professional publishing in various sectors) and briefly practiced law. He is an alum of UVA with a BA in English and Russian Literatures and a JD degree. He is active the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the College and Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA). For forty years he was a church organist and choir director, and for thirty years he was the producer/host of a weekly radio program celebrating the pipe organ.
