Mick Hewitt

Mick Hewitt, Co-Founder and CEO of Ednition, is a seasoned entrepreneur and innovator in education technology. Before launching Ednition in 2021 with Doug Weber, Mick and Doug co-founded MasteryConnect in 2008, a formative assessment platform and teacher community. Following the company’s acquisition by Instructure in 2019, Mick played a key role in integrating the MasteryConnect platform into the Canvas LMS ecosystem. At Ednition, Mick leverages his deep understanding of the significant time and cost required to build scalable systems to address the unique needs of the K-12 ecosystem. By solving vendor-side infrastructure challenges like rostering, secure data sharing, SSO, and LMS integrations, Ednition enables edtech companies to deliver exceptional solutions to schools and districts of all sizes.
