Mike Malefakis is President of University Partnerships at Emeritus where we reach over 200,000 global learns across delivering programs from over 80 top ranked universities. Prior to Emeritus, Mike was Senior Advisor at Leeds Illuminate, impact investing in education and workforce development. Mike has held leadership roles in several top ranked business schools driving growth through innovation at Wharton, Columbia and Chicago Booth. Mike was CEO & Associate Vice Dean, of Wharton Executive Education, where he worked with the team to expand the reach of lifelong learning programs to over 70,000 learners a year in both in-person and online programs. Prior to Wharton, Mike served as the Associate Dean of Columbia Business School Executive Education where he introduced online SPOCs in 2012. Mike served as Director of Executive Education at the University of Chicago Booth where he launched global non-degree programs and introduced custom programs for enterprises. Earlier in his career, Mike lead Executive Education at INCAE in San Jose, Costa Rica. He started in the field as an Assistant Director at Michigan Ross Executive Education. Mike serves on the AACSB Business Practice Council and is an advisor at ExecOnline. Previously, he was the chair of the UNICON board and served as a board member for 6 years.
