Mike Murphy is the Senior Manager, Strategic Communications at American Student Assistance® (ASA). Mike has a decade of experience in the Marketing/Communications space, specializing in social media and digital content management. Earlier in his career, he worked for enterprise marketing agencies, where he managed social and digital strategies for a wide range of clients across various industries—which included youth-serving orgs like Pearson Education and City Year. He joined the ASA team in 2021 to help the organization optimize and expand its B2B communications strategy through a multi-channel approach, with the goal of reaching an audience of business and nonprofit leaders, policymakers, parents, educators, administrators, and other key stakeholders. These groups are critical in the movement to advance career readiness learning in middle and high school, and are critical to facilitating the kinds of career-focused education experiences that ASA champions. He is a key player in amplifying ASA’s message and in building strategic coalitions, on social media and beyond, to help young people step into the world with prepared confidence.
