Mike Tarrant

Mike Tarrant, Head of Global Education Acceleration at Amazon Web Services (AWS), leads a team helping higher education institutions and EdTechs leverage AWS and emerging technologies like generative AI to transform teaching, learning, and research. Prior to AWS, Mike drove strategic initiatives in both EdTech and academic settings in the US and Asia, including leadership roles at the University of North Carolina and the National University of Singapore, where he developed global strategies and strategic partnerships. A Henry Luce Scholar and summa cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Mike holds a BA in Political Science and Communication Studies, as well as an MBA in Strategy, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship.
