Nonye M. Alozie, PhD, is advancing the next generation of AI-enabled learning systems. A science education and learning sciences researcher, she focuses on how artificial intelligence can transform understanding of learning, collaboration, and knowledge creation across educational settings. At SRI, she serves as Innovation Laboratory Lead, catalyzing innovation across the organization. She builds staff capacity to integrate emerging technologies, including AI, into diverse research areas; incubates early-stage concepts; and helps translate exploratory research into scalable, externally funded initiatives. Her leadership bridges experimentation and impact. In her own research, Alozie designs AI-enabled tools that capture speech and behavioral data in collaborative environments to reveal how people think, communicate, and solve complex problems together. She also develops interdisciplinary curriculum and assessment resources that integrate science, computer science, and engineering, supporting educators in implementing technology-rich learning experiences. Previously an assistant professor at Albion College, she hold an MS and PhD from the University of Michigan and a BS from UCLA.
