Dr. Patrick Gittisriboongul is the Superintendent of Lynwood Unified School District, where he leads with a deep commitment to equity, innovation, and student success. With over two decades of experience in education, technology, and public service, Dr. Gittisriboongul brings a systems-level approach to leadership that centers on unlocking student brilliance, cultivating staff talent, uplifting the community, and modeling operational excellence. Throughout his career, he has served in multiple leadership roles across Southern California, including Assistant Superintendent of Technology and Innovation at Lynwood USD, Assistant Superintendent of Innovation at the San Diego County Office of Education, and Director of Educational Technology and Information Services at Huntington Beach Union High School District. He began his educational journey as a middle school math teacher and technology coach after transitioning from a career in web development during the dot-com era. Dr. Gittisriboongul is recognized for his strategic vision in digital equity, data-informed decision-making, and artificial intelligence integration in K-12 education. He launched Lynwood’s AI Taskforce, expanded access to industry-aligned learning pathways, and designed structures to elevate student and community voice in policy and program decisions. Under his leadership, Lynwood USD is advancing a bold 100-Day Plan focused on purpose, plan, and path—ensuring that every student not only sees themselves in the curriculum but also has clear support systems to pursue college, career, or community service goals. Dr. Gittisriboongul holds a doctorate in educational leadership from USC, and he is a passionate advocate for innovation that is both human-centered and equity-driven.
