Priyanka Arya

Priyanka Arya is Director and Chief Operating Officer of Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA), a teacher certification company that is making teaching an aspirational and rewarding career, and through that, fundamentally impacting teacher motivation, competencies and effectiveness. CENTA currently works with 1 million+ teachers from 100,000+ schools and 6000+ locations across India, with more than 200,000 teachers from outside India. She is part of the founding team of CENTA and has been chief architect of CENTA Standards, a globally recognized teacher competency framework and assessment frameworks for CENTA’s widely leveraged Teacher Competency tests. Priyanka was also a volunteer teacher for a year, teaching English and Mathematics to primary grade kids.A B.Tech. from IIT BHU (2003 batch) and an MBA from IIM Calcutta (2005 batch), before joining CENTA, Priyanka has been a Management Consultant for about a decade, starting with diverse sectors including oil & gas, highways, airports etc, and the last year as part of Accenture’s Development Practice working with foundations on development projects.
