Ravneet Pawha is currently the Vice- President (Global Alliances) and CEO (South Asia), Deakin University, Australia and National Vice- Chair of Australia India Business Council. With over 30 years of experience in the international education, research, training, and upskilling sector, Ravneet has set up groundbreaking global collaborations and strategic partnerships, the most recent being her critical role in establishment of the Deakin University GIFT City Campus at Gandhinagar which is India’s international university branch campus. She set up Deakin University operations in India in 1994, India’s first ever international ‘University office’, giving it strategic leadership through three successful decades. She has successfully propelled Deakin University’s strategic initiatives and robust engagement across India’s academic, corporate and organizational landscape. Ravneet has been instrumental in creating a strong framework between India and Australia through her numerous roles such as President of Australia India Business Council (Victoria), Co-Chair of Indo-Australian Chamber of Commerce, Board member of India Australia Business and Community Awards (IABCA) and Adviser to the Australia India Institute (AII) and Advisor to Rajasthan Royals amongst others.
