
Raymond Sass leads the education vertical at Lightcast, using labor-market data intelligence to focus higher ed strategy on measurable outcomes. Sass brings over 20 years of leadership experience in higher ed and U.S. federal policy, specializing in bridging strategy and execution in complex organizations. In higher ed, he has held senior cabinet strategy and innovation roles in institutions ranging from a $9B, R1 state university, to a small, private struggling-to-thriving college. As founding dean of an MBA program he launched, he has led curriculum development; faculty recruitment and management; marketing and student recruiting; P&L ownership; as well as taught and mentored students. In government, he took a data-focused approach to policy and communications in roles including chief of staff in the U.S. Senate, chief of staff in the executive administration, and speechwriter for cabinet officials. As an entrepreneur, he has co-founded several companies; built a multi-million dollar residential real estate business; and as a board member, he continues to advise institutions on workforce development and education strategy. Raymond earned a global MBA from Duke University and currently lives in Annapolis, MD with his wife and two young children.
