Richard Baird

Richard became a part of the Walmart family in 2021 and currently serves as the Senior Director for Learning Innovations and Skills+. His role involves providing strategic direction for the evolution and transformation of learning and development products, aimed at enhancing the experiences of Walmart associates worldwide. His primary focus is on the cultivation of Walmart's talent ecosystem, with a special emphasis on skills development. He has a keen interest in the conception, design, and implementation of digital solutions, using his expertise to guide strategic initiatives. With 13 years in HR processes and systems, Richard leverages his software engineering skills, complemented by his functional domain knowledge, to spearhead projects throughout the entire people life cycle. Outside his professional arena, Richard enjoys spending time in nature. He is a passionate cyclist, hiker, and trail runner.
