Rob LoCascio is an American technology entrepreneur and product visionary whose career spans more than three decades at the forefront of digital communication and artificial intelligence. He is best known as the founder of LivePerson, a company he started in the mid-1990s that pioneered live chat on the web and helped define the modern category of conversational commerce. Under Rob’s leadership, LivePerson grew into a global public company with more than 3,000 employees, over $500 million in annual revenue, and a platform used by many of the world’s largest brands. Long before “AI” became a mainstream term, Rob was focused on one core question: how technology could help people feel heard, understood, and connected at scale. That philosophy guided LivePerson’s evolution from simple human chat to sophisticated AI-driven messaging systems handling billions of conversations. After nearly 28 years leading LivePerson, Rob entered a new chapter as a founder with a more personal mission. As a father, he became increasingly concerned about the impact of modern technology on children, families, and human relationships. This led him to found KID Company, a hardware and AI platform designed specifically for children—prioritizing creativity, imagination, emotional safety, and family connection over passive consumption and algorithmic addiction. Rob is also the founder of Eternos (now evolving into URAI), a venture-backed company building personal AI “digital twins” that allow individuals to preserve their voice, knowledge, values, and memories. The platform is grounded in the belief that AI should belong to people—not platforms—and should help preserve human identity, legacy, and agency rather than extract value from them. Across all his work, Rob is guided by a consistent set of principles: technology should be people-first, values-aligned, and designed to strengthen—not replace—human relationships. His leadership blends deep technical understanding with an unusually strong emphasis on emotional intelligence, ethics, and purpose. Rob lives with his family and continues to build at the intersection of AI, humanity, and meaning—focused on creating technology that helps people become more connected, creative, and fully themselves.
