
Ron Levin invests in diverse early-stage companies as Managing Partner and Head of the Alumni Ventures Seed Fund and Syndicate, one of the most active VC funds in North America. He also leads the firm's "Education 2.0 Syndicate." Ron has spent his career in various entrepreneurial, strategy, and business development roles. Prior to becoming a VC investor, Ron was co-founder and CEO of Perk (FKA TravelPerk), a venture-backed travel management platform that has achieved “unicorn” valuation status with thousands of employees and customers worldwide. Prior to Perk, he launched the B2B division of Booking.com and was a management consultant with McKinsey & Co. Ron’s professional journey began at Lycos, one of the pioneer web portal and search engines. Ron is a graduate of Babson College and received his MBA from Harvard Business School. He is the author of the impact-focused book, Higher Purpose Venture Capital, which profiles VC-backed startups that are solving problems related to the causes and symptoms of social and wealth inequality. A former resident of four European cities, Ron is an intrepid world traveler, having explored over 140 countries and all 50 U.S. states.
