Ronit Levavi Morad is a NY-based, impact-driven leader, Senior Director and Chief of Staff to VP Yossi Matias, head of Google Research. Since joining Google Research, Ronit has been leading strategic efforts to empower and support research teams focused on a range of domains, from Generative AI to Quantum Computing, from Foundational Machine Learning to Algorithms to AI for Societal Impact in Health, Climate, Sustainability, and Education. When it comes to Google Research’s efforts to reimagine education in the era of AI, Ronit plays a dual role: both as an executive sponsor to diverse research teams aiming to infuse best-in-class learning science and pedagogy with the capabilities of Generative AI, and as Google Research’s global AI Literacy lead. She steers diverse efforts to bring AI education to students under 18, with a focus on underrepresented groups, ensuring they too will have opportunities to successfully navigate an ever-growing AI-driven future. A recent example of this commitment is her executive sponsorship of AI Quests, an in-class, gamified AI Literacy experience developed with the Stanford Accelerator for Learning, and designed to teach teens how AI can be applied to humanity’s greatest challenges, inspired by impact-driven projects at Google Research. The topic of women in Tech is very close to Ronit’s heart. She leads Google Research’s “Mind the Gap” program, encouraging young women to choose STEM studies, active in over 20 countries, and reaching over 100,000 students globally. Recognized for her influence and contributions, Ronit was honored as one of the 50 most influential women in Israel in 2017. Her dedication to technological advancement, education, and inclusivity continues to drive significant progress toward a more equitable and innovative future.
