Rukmini Banerji

Dr Rukmini Banerji is the Chief Executive Officer of Pratham Education Foundation. She hasextensive field experience working directly with rural and urban communities as well as indesigning and implementing large scale partnerships with governments for improving learningof elementary school age children. From 2005 to 2014, she led Pratham’s research andassessment efforts including the well-known ASER initiative (Annual Status of EducationReport). In 2021, Dr Banerji was awarded the Yidan Prize for Education Development. Shewrites frequently on education in both Hindi and English and enjoys creating stories forchildren.
