Sanjay Srivastava is the Founder and CEO of Vocareum, a platform providing virtual labs and resources for higher education, deployed at over 7000 universities worldwide. He is also Chairman of SKS Capital, an investment group supporting early-stage ventures in education. In 1995, he co-founded Denali Software, specializing in electronic design automation and SoC design, bootstrapping it to a $315M acquisition by Cadence Design Systems in 2010, where he later served as SVP of R&D. He was also the lead investor and executive chairman of NVELO, acquired by Samsung in 2012, and a key investor in ShadowMaps, acquired by Uber in 2016. A passionate advocate for education, Sanjay has held various board memberships and advisory roles in both non-profits and for-profit organizations. He is currently a board member of Lifelaunchr, a college counseling platform. He was previously a board member at Foundation for Excellence and a trustee at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Faculty Entrepreneurial Fellowship program. Sanjay holds a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT and an MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The Srivastava Senior Design Lab on the Illinois campus honors his contributions to education and research.
