Sara Leoni

Sara Leoni is the Founder and CEO of Ziplines Education, a career accelerator that partners with universities to deliver industry-recognized certificate courses that prepare professionals for today’s tech-driven world. In 2023, the company announced its $6.4 million Series A funding to help close the skills gap. Ziplines has partnered with over 30 institutions, empowering more than 20,000 adult learners on their career journeys—and that’s just the beginning. With over 20 years of experience, Sara thrives on building and motivating high-performing teams while driving significant growth in mission-oriented businesses. Before launching Ziplines, she was CEO of Rafter, a $50 million course-material company that served hundreds of colleges nationwide, where she led efforts saving students half a billion dollars. A sought-after thought leader, Sara has spoken at industry events such as the ASU+GSV Summit, Dreamforce, and the UPCEA Annual Conference. Sara's teamwork and work ethic trace back to her collegiate softball career, earning All-American honors at UNLV, where she later received Alumna of the Year from the Greenspun College of Urban Affairs. She enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking, and hosting at home with her husband and five sons.
