Scott Elliott

Scott Elliott is managing editor of EdWeek Market Brief. He was CEO of Piedmont Media and the publisher of two Virginia newspapers before joining EdWeek, but he spent the bulk of his reporting career working as a journalist in Ohio and Indiana writing about education policy. He covered state policy, education reform and school choice at Chalkbeat Indiana, the Indianapolis Star and the Dayton Daily News. He is the former president of the Education Writers Association a Knight-Walllace journalism fellow in education and winner of a National Headliner Award for education reporting.
