Shaily Baranwal

Shaily Baranwal, Founder & CEO Shaily is the Founder & CEO of Elevate K-12, an education company that is on a mission to ensure every student receives a high-quality education, regardless of zip code, by providing engaging, virtual classroom instruction from certified, LIVE teachers. Before Elevate K-12, Shaily founded two other companies, including a chain of preschools for low-income students in rural India, and was a former classroom teacher herself. She has degrees in Industrial Engineering, Early Childhood Education, and an MBA from the University of Michigan where she was awarded the Dean's Entrepreneurial Scholarship. Shaily serves on the boards of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and the University of Michigan Zell Lurie Institute where she advises students on the path to entrepreneurship. When she's not running Elevate K-12 or visiting classrooms, Shaily loves to spend time reading, diving, and surfing.
