Shawna Young

Shawna Young is a social impact entrepreneur, educator, and speaker dedicated to empowering individuals and driving change. As CEO of Camelback Ventures, she leads initiatives creating pathways for entrepreneurs of color and women through targeted investment. With $9M in investment to date, Camelback has empowered over 180 entrepreneurs who have collectively secured $365 million and impacted 5 million individuals through programs in education, health, and civic engagement. Previously, Shawna served as Interim CEO of Ada Developers Academy and led the Scratch Foundation, Duke TIP, and MIT Introduction to Engineering and Science (MITES). With degrees from Howard University, UNC Chapel Hill, MIT, and Boston University, she brings 25 years of experience developing talent in underresourced communities.
