Sherrie L. Rhodes is a legal and external affairs leader dedicated to advancing HBCUs, public policy, and workforce development. As Vice President of External Affairs and Deputy Chief of Staff at the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF), she oversees government relations, advocacy, and strategic partnerships that drive institutional sustainability and student success.

With expertise in law, policy, and higher education administration, Sherrie has led legislative initiatives, cultivated corporate and philanthropic partnerships, and expanded opportunities for students and educators. Prior to joining TMCF, Sherrie managed Georgetown University’s Slavery, Memory, and Reconciliation Initiative, driving efforts to confront historical injustices and strengthen institutional accountability. She continues that work through board service to the Descendants Association.

Committed to equity and economic mobility, she leverages her experience in legal strategy, policy advocacy, and stakeholder engagement to strengthen institutions serving historically underrepresented communities.
