Sierra Stone is an innovative problem solver, an empathetic relationship builder, and a fierce advocate for equitable education and opportunities for all. After graduating with her BA from the University of Michigan, she served as a Teach for America Corps member, while receiving her Masters in Secondary Education from ASU and working as a research analyst for The United Nations Education Commission. These experiences eventually led her to the world of education technology, where she worked at Noodle as part of the NYU Teacher Residency. In that role, she worked as the Partnerships Manager, supporting all stakeholders across NYU and their K-12 partners. Most recently, she led the growth and partnership work for Wix Education - a platform that makes web creation available to all students. She is now the Program Lead at GSV Ventures and the ASU+GSV Summit. In her spare time, she serves as the Sponsorship Chair on the Big Brothers Big Sisters Young Professional Executive Board and the Membership and Outreach Chair on the JNFuture Executive Board. She is also a “Big Sister” and loves spending time exploring New York City with her “Little Sister.” Sierra is always looking for book recommendations to satisfy her natural curiosity.
