Soumya supports employer partners in building and implementing skills-based hiring practices. Her goal is to understand employer talent and racial equity goals and identify how Grads of Life’s solutions can support leaders in achieving those milestones.With 20+ years of workforce development, consulting, and partnerships experience, Soumya’s career has centered on access to opportunity and equitable hiring practices. Before Grads of Life, Soumya was Management Leadership for Tomorrow (MLT)’s senior director of business development where she led MLT’s efforts to cultivate new partnership opportunities and establish relationships with leading employers.During her time at Year Up, Soumya led the organization’s largest tech sector enterprise partnerships (Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Salesforce). In her role, she implemented innovative career pathways that allow companies to address both their business and inclusive hiring goals, provide access to high-growth jobs for young adults and local communities, as well as identify new training areas to meet market demand. Prior to Year Up, Soumya worked at The Bridgespan Group, Morgan Stanley, and IBM. She lives in Maryland with her husband and two young boys, and is an avid runner, park explorer, Netflix watcher and PTA board secretary.
