Steve Deutsch

Motivated to transform an education system often confined to a one-size-fits-all model, Steve is committed to promoting more tailored and inclusive learning experiences to meet the unique needs of each student in today's dynamic world. While there are many avenues for educational improvement, Steve holds a fundamental belief that entrepreneurship is a vital catalyst for change. Steve is currently a Director of Impact Investing at ECMC’s Education Impact Fund, which he joined in 2022, driven by the opportunity to help improve access and outcomes for underserved learners and workers. Before ECMC, Steve’s career in corporate venture capital, management consulting, and startup incubation laid the groundwork for his passion for working with entrepreneurs on problems that matter. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a BBA from the College of William & Mary. Steve lives in the Chicago suburbs with his wife and their three kids.
