As the founder and CEO of Incubate Learning, Sujata Bhatt brings over 20 years of experience in strategy and design to make formal learning more human-centered and joyful. Incubate Learning specializes in competency-based design across PK-12, higher education, philanthropy, edtech, and the private sector in the U.S. and globally. A founding member of Collective Shift, Sujata also develops human-centered AI tools for learner-centered education. At Johns Hopkins University + Medicine, Sujata serves as the Social Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Ward Infinity, an accelerator supporting companies working on health, wellness, education, and sustainability solutions in underinvested communities. She teaches at Penn's Graduate School of Education, where she led the Capstone for the Education Entrepreneurship master’s program. Sujata serves on the boards of the New Teacher Center and Red Bridge, advises Education Reimagined, is co-authoring a book on mastery-based learning with Tony Wagner and Ulrik Christensen. Previously, she was a Senior Fellow at Transcend and Managing Partner of Innovation for Boston Public Schools, and she founded The Incubator School, a public entrepreneurship-themed middle-high school in Los Angeles. She was also vice-chair of the Mastery Transcript Consortium board, where she supported its acquisition by ETS. She holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. from the University of Michigan, and was a Junior Fellow at Harvard's Society of Fellows.
