Sunil Leads Education, Space, NPOs, Channels & Alliances at AWS India Pvt. Ltd. He is responsible for enabling and growing the public sector Education, Education technology and Non-profit’s ecosystem in India. His responsibilities include working with the world’s largest education ecosystem of the most innovative Education start- ups and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), Venture Capital (VC), identifying and building education partner ecosystem of Resellers, Aggregators, GSI, NSI, ISV and Distributors. Sunil is also on the board of a Non Profit (https://www.katha.org/ ) connecting grassroots work in education and urban resurgence, Katha brings children living in poverty into reading and quality education. Over the past three decades, through its many programs, Katha has helped over one million children help themselves out of poverty.With more than 20 years of information technology industry experience, Sunil has held numerous executive positions at Fortune 500 companies such as Novell, Microsoft and Adobe. Sunil has a very rich experience of also ideating and creating his own startup focused on “Uberization of employability” for students in India and “Local language Ecommerce” to address the 93% of Indians who are comfortable doing business in their local languages. Most recently Sunil was the Director of Public Sector at Microsoft focused on building scale models for Education, Health, and Government Etc. to drive the adoption and consumption of the Azure service
