Tammy Wincup has served for over 25 years as a business executive at the intersection of technology and education. Tammy is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Securly, the leading digital safety and wellness company serving over 26,000 K-12 schools globally to keep students safe, secure, and ready to learn. Before Securly, Tammy was a partner at Rethink Education, an impact venture fund focused on investing in global education technology. As an operator, Tammy also served as the President of Revolution Foods, a B-Corporation committed to serving healthy and affordable meals to K12 students. Tammy also served as the founding President of Protocol, a POLITICO Media Group company covering the intersection of technology and policy. From 2010 to 2019, Tammy was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at EVERFI, a leading education technology company focused on using digital learning to teach learners of all ages critical skills, including financial literacy and digital citizenship. After September 11th, 2001, Tammy was politically appointed to the U.S. Department of State, where she helped develop and manage the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI), a $300 million fund focused on economic and educational foreign assistance to the Middle East. In 2006, she refocused her education technology work back in the United States. Tammy is a Pahara – Aspen Institute Fellow, a competitive program for global education leaders. She is active on several non-profit boards, including U.S. Digital Response, the Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning, and the UVA College Foundation Regional Board.
