Tanyella Leta is Co-Founder and Chief Product & Research Officer of Maka Media, the company behind Maka Kids, a new streaming app designed to help families navigate screen time with confidence. Launching in 2026, Maka Kids curates children’s media through a proprietary developmental framework built with the Yale Child Study Center, giving parents a trusted alternative to algorithm-driven platforms. Previously, Tanyella was Co-Founder and CEO of NABU, a global literacy platform that reached over 15 million children across 18 markets. She has spent more than 15 years building technology and media products focused on expanding children’s learning and development in the digital age. In 2025, she was a Saul Zaentz Scholar at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where her work focused on the intersection of child development, AI, and children's media.
