
Timothy Toomey is a growth-oriented business leader and workforce transformation executive with deep expertise in technology skilling, talent development, and scaling enterprise learning businesses. He currently serves as the Americas Lead for Accenture LearnVantage, where he is responsible for driving strategy, go-to-market execution, and growth across North, Central, and South America for Accenture’s learning and skilling services. In this role, Tim partners with enterprise, government, and academic clients to design and deliver large-scale reskilling and upskilling programs aligned to digital transformation, including cloud, data & AI, cybersecurity, software engineering, and emerging technologies. His focus is on building outcome-driven learning ecosystems that translate business objectives into measurable capability development and sustained performance. Prior to joining Accenture, Tim served as Chief Executive Officer of Ascendient Learning, a private equity-backed technology training and talent development organization consisting of three legacy brands: Web Age Solutions, Accelebrate, and ExitCertified. As CEO, he led the company’s growth strategy, platform unification, and expansion of instructor-led and certification-aligned training across major technology ecosystems. Under his leadership, Ascendient was named AWS Training Partner of the Year (North America) in 2024 and 2025 and was also recognized on Training Industry’s Top 20 Training Companies list in both years. Tim began his career as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps, serving as an Infantry Officer with two overseas deployments and later as a Warfighting Instructor. He is a graduate of Villanova University (Economics) and holds a joint MBA from The Wharton School and MPA from Harvard Kennedy School of Government. He later worked as a Consultant at Bain & Company in Washington, D.C., advising clients on strategy and operations. Tim is a frequent contributor to conversations on workforce transformation, digital skilling, and the future of learning, and is passionate about helping organizations build the capabilities required to thrive in an era of constant change.
