Todd Brekhus

Todd Brekhus, Chief Product Officer at Renaissance and General Manager of Nearpod, is a visionary education technology innovator with over 25 years of experience. He is dedicated to empowering teachers in the classroom by building technology that provides actionable recommendations, streamlines classroom work, and celebrates students’ achievements. He and his team’s most recent innovation, Renaissance Next, integrates Renaissance’s assessment, practice, and instructional data to keep teachers at the center of the classroom while helping them to decide what is best for their students through in-the-moment insights and recommendations. His significant contributions to the field have garnered major recognition, including the Lamp Lighter Visionary Award in 2014 and the 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award from SIIA Company CODiE Awards. Prior to joining Renaissance, Todd co-founded myON, a personalized literacy platform that is now part of the Renaissance portfolio. He has also held key roles such as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at PLATO Learning, President and COO of Learning Elements, and Education Program Director at MCI WorldCom.
