Todd Tobin

Todd Tobin is the Chief Technology Officer of MagicSchool AI, a leading generative AI platform designed to support educators and students. In his role, Todd leads the company's engineering organization and technical strategy, operating at the intersection of business strategy, product vision, and technology execution to build the systems that power a platform serving over 6 million educators across more than 13,000 schools and districts worldwide. His focus is on ensuring MagicSchool's AI delivers real results for educators and real learning outcomes for students - building the systems that give AI the right context, knowledge, and guardrails to deliver genuine outcomes in classrooms at scale.

Prior to joining MagicSchool, Todd spent 25 years in Colorado building and leading technology organizations at high-growth startups. He was the co-founder of Craftsy, an online learning platform that grew into a leading destination for creative education before its acquisition.

Todd's approach to technology leadership is grounded in the belief that shipping AI that actually works requires deep alignment between engineering, product, and business strategy. At MagicSchool, he works closely with CEO Adeel Khan and key partners including Anthropic and AWS to tackle the real-world challenges of deploying AI in education, where the stakes are high and the margin for error is low.

Todd is based in Golden, Colorado, where outside of work he is an avid skier, a loving husband, father, and devoted golden retriever owner.
