Tony Wan

Tony Wan is Head of Platform at Reach Capital, where he oversees content, community, and programming at the cross-section of portfolio and investment support. He is also the co-founder and former managing editor of EdSurge, where he covered edtech companies, investors, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Previously, he built a math game, worked in nonprofit publishing, and taught English in rural Inner Mongolia. Tony holds an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Stanford University and a B.A. in History from UC San Diego. He was named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Education in 2014 and was a 2020 Education Writers Association Reporting Fellow.
