Tracy Hartzler is the sixth President of Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), which serves the largest undergraduate student body in New Mexico. Under her leadership, the College is focused on connecting students with education and training that leads to rewarding careers in high-demand fields that help New Mexico’s economy prosper. Since becoming president in January 2020, she has been committed to developing and strengthening partnerships with private industry, education institutions and districts, and government agencies so the College can produce the workforce of the future that will help power student success, economic success, and a better quality of life for all New Mexicans. President Hartzler has served the public sector for more than 25 years in secondary and post-secondary education; in federal, state and tribal government; and policy roles. She serves on the Board of the American Association of Community Colleges, the New Mexico Collaborative for Higher Education Shared Services, and regional economic development and healthcare organizations.
