Waymond Jackson

Waymond Jackson is the President of Ed Farm, the most empowering digital education partner for communities. Ed Farm grows digitally fluent learners through an ecosystem of programs and environments for K-12 educators, students and the workforce. Based in Birmingham, AL, Ed Farm was founded in February 2020 through a partnership with Apple and the Alabama Power Foundation. As the first President and CEO, Waymond has driven growth by expanding Ed Farm's programs across the Southeast, collaborating with school districts, states and municipalities. Notable initiatives under his leadership include Ed Farm Learn (an online learning platform for educators), Ed Farm SPACES (reimagined learning environments for physical community assets) and the Ed Farm Innovation Challenge (an annual convening that provides ed tech startups with product pilots in school districts). With expertise in workforce and economic development, Waymond has been recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 in economic development by Developers Counsellors International and previously served on the board of the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and serves on multiple education, policy and workforce boards. His work at Ed Farm is guided by a vision to create an inventive world where all people have access to the tools they need to fill or create the jobs of the future.
