Wyatt Smith is founder and CEO of UpSmith, an AI company helping trades businesses win and tradespeople thrive. Prior to UpSmith, Wyatt led business development for Uber Elevate, Uber’s aerial ridesharing business unit. At Uber, Wyatt led a team responsible for 25+ commercial partnerships across the air mobility value chain, generating more than $5B in private sector investment. Before Uber, Wyatt served as a consultant at McKinsey. Wyatt began his career as a corps member with Teach for America, serving at G.W. Carver High School in Birmingham, Alabama. After founding the Birmingham to Beijing Project, a not-for-profit effort to connect high achieving Birmingham City Schools students with Mandarin language immersion opportunities in China, Wyatt received the 2013 Sue Lehmann Award as one of four national Teach for America teachers of the year. Wyatt is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a Scholars’ Council Co-Chair of the Enterprise Club at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), and a 2023 Presidential Leadership Scholar. He holds an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School and a BS in Human & Organizational Development and Political Science from Vanderbilt University, where he served as student body president and as a young alumni trustee on the Board of Trust. Wyatt grew up on a family-owned cattle ranch outside of Reform, Alabama in rural Pickens County.
