Yodit Weldu

Yodit M. Weldu is an Alumni Advisor at KIPP Chicago, where she supports high school students in their post-secondary journeys, helping them navigate college applications, scholarships, and career planning. With a passion for student success, she cultivates strong relationships with students, families, and educational institutions to ensure students thrive academically and professionally. Beyond her advisory role, Yodit has been instrumental in leading initiatives that foster creativity and social justice, including the launch of the Children’s Museum of Art and Social Justice in collaboration with KIPP Metro Atlanta. She also introduced the Self(ie) Love project, which empowers students to explore their identities through artistic expression. Yodit is driven by her belief in the transformative power of education and continues to inspire students to reach their full potential while advocating for their success.
