Arnaud Turner, Catherine Alves, Joana Ponce, and Michael Marriner (Roadtrip Nation) join Julie Lammers (Britebound) at the ASU+GSV Summit in “Becoming Is a Journey: Young Adults Charting Their Paths and Lighting the Way for Middle Schoolers” to explore how authentic storytelling can inspire early career exploration and self-discovery in students.
Middle schoolers are just beginning to imagine who they might become – and relatable role models offer a powerful avenue to spark curiosity and help youth envision possibilities they may never have considered. This session features an early look at a new PBS documentary created in partnership with Britebound (formerly ASA) and Roadtrip Nation, following three young adults as they travel across the country to meet people with meaningful careers.
Through candid stories of uncertainty, exploration, and personal discovery, the film offers middle school students a view of young adults still actively shaping their identities and futures. Following the preview, speakers discuss how authentic, unscripted journeys can build confidence, expand career awareness, and bring compelling narratives into the classroom.
