Modernizing Education's Data and AI Strategies: A Global Education Data Open-Source Initiative

With the mass shift to remote and hybrid learning during the pandemic, education systems' need to catch up with enterprise data strategies went from important to mission critical. K-12 and Higher Ed systems urgently need to see which students have digital access, which apps and platforms are most used, and which patterns of digital engagement lead to real learning outcomes. In response, Microsoft Education initiated Open Education Analytics. OEA is a global open-source initiative to accelerate education systems' shift to modern data services, enable real time analytics, and co-develop AI use cases for education. Hear from district, state, higher ed, and national leaders about how they are collaborating through this initiative to develop new state and national education analytics, build more accurate predictive models of at-risk students, enable competency-based and digital equity reporting, and analyze tech and other program investments in real time.
