Chris Kibarian joined Lightcast as CEO in 2022, leading the integration of EMSI and Burning Glass Technologies to create a global leader in labor market and workforce intelligence.Under his leadership, Lightcast serves enterprise, education, and the public-sector worldwide—powering all sectors of the global labor market with unparalleled data coverage, depth, and accessibility. Through partnerships with leading human capital management platforms, education technology providers, and policymaking bodies, Lightcast is unlocking new possibilities for how the world understands and navigates work.

Chris leads a global team of more than 700 professionals—including data scientists, economists, software engineers, and leaders across product, go-to-market, and operations—who deliver labor and workforce insights to help clients thrive amid technological disruption, demographic shifts, and rapid changes in skills—forces reshaping how organizations attract, develop, and retain talent.

Before joining Lightcast, Chris spent 12 years in professional information at Thomson Reuters, where he served as President of the IP & Science division (now Clarivate Analytics, Nasdaq: CLVT) and led businesses including Web of Science and FindLaw. He later served as CEO of Randstad Digital Ventures and has worked with leading venture capital and private equity firms, including Norwest Venture Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, and currently KKR’s Impact Fund.

Chris and his team are focused on building Lightcast into an essential global platform for workforce development, economic growth, and skill enablement. By continuously advancing its analytics and technology, Lightcast empowers organizations to navigate today’s dynamic talent landscape with confidence and agility.Chris holds a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Dartmouth College.
