Kamilah Thomas

Kamilah Thomas (pronounced kah-MEAL-ah) is Chief Human Resources Officer at Cengage Group, where she leads the company’s global people strategy. She oversees Talent Strategy, Talent & Inclusion, HR Services, and Total Rewards, aligning workforce strategy to business performance and enabling a high-performing, future-ready organization.

Kamilah is a global HR executive known for aligning workforce strategy to enterprise value and guiding organizations through moments of scale and transformation. Prior to joining Cengage Group, she led the global people function at Roku, serving as SVP, Head of People & Workplace Experience and reporting to the CEO. She previously held senior HR leadership roles at Dow Jones, A+E Networks, and Madison Square Garden Company.

Kamilah serves on the Board of Directors of MasterCraft Boat Holdings (NASDAQ: MCFT), where she chairs the Compensation & Human Capital Committee and serves on the Nominating & Governance Committee. She is also a Trustee of Success Academy Charter Schools. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Lincoln University and is based in New Jersey.
