A 12-year high school teacher, Rebecca joined a learning management startup in 2008 where she worked in implementation , customer success, pre-sales and product management. After 5 years, she took a more technical role at Expedia Group. In a couple of years she found a gap that was not being filled, specifically in the education/up-skilling of engineers. As the learning architect for technical training, Rebecca pushed the boundaries when it came to thinking about educating the technical workforce. After creating the Expedia Code Academy, the instructor Academy and introducing the company to skills frameworks, she moved to Noom as Head of Technical Learning & Development where she forged a unique connection between Knowledge Management and Learning. Finally, she moved to Procore Technologies in 2023 and is currently implementing a wide-scale academy model across the tech, data, product and design group where instructors are trained within to build challenging courses to up-skill their peers with the focus on true and measurable skill growth using skills frameworks as the foundation.
