Jason Manoharan leads program development for the national flagship Advanced Placement (AP) program, spanning business strategy, educational technology, and curriculum, instruction and assessment development. For the last decade, Jason has driven AP’s unprecedented growth in both overall and underrepresented student participation. Additionally, Jason oversees curriculum and assessment development for legacy and new AP courses, and has led the transition from paper to digital exam content. Jason has run multiple technology and non-technology projects, including the development, launch and ongoing management of AP’s instructional platform, AP Classroom, which supports 150+ million annual student learning sessions. Before the College Board, Jason spent five years in management consulting, most recently at the Boston Consulting Group where he focused on Higher Education and online education models. Jason earned a PhD in English from Harvard University and an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
