French internet pioneer, Marie-Christine Levet is the President and co-founder of Educapital, the first and largest European Edtech impact fund.Based in Paris, the fund invests in innovative startups from late seed to series B. The focus is on entrepreneurs transforming the future of education and work.Educapital has two funds under management and recently announced the final closing of its second fund at 150M$.Educapital has invested in 30 companies acro including Labster, 360 Learning, Preply, Fourthrer, Engageli…Prior to Educapital, Marie-Christine was founder and CEO of major French internet and media companies (founder of Lycos, CEO of T-Online France). After these strong entrepreneurial experiences, she transitioned to venture capitalism to bring her experience to younger CEOs. She took part in the creation of Jaina Capital, one of the first entrepreneur funds in France, investing in early stage startups.Convinced by the necessary and imminent transformation of the education sector trough innovation, Marie-Christine created Educapital in 2017 with her partner Litzie Maarek. Marie-Christine Levet is a graduate from HEC and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
