AI is transforming education, offering the potential to personalize learning, automate administrative tasks, and expand access to high-quality instruction. Yet, it also risks deepening inequities, reinforcing biases, and widening the economic divide. This session will explore the promise and perils of AI in addressing educational inequities, particularly for Black, Latino, low-income, and English Language Learner students. A diverse panel of education leaders will discuss how AI-powered tools can close learning gaps, the risks of biased algorithms and how entrepreneurs and funders can shape AI solutions that center equity rather than exacerbate existing disparities.
